My current dilemma has to do with my girls room. Kaiya (6) and Allie (almost 5) share a bedroom. They both share a closet and a dresser. Currently their school clothes and their Sunday clothes are hung in the closet. Kaiya's on the top and Allie's on the bottom. The dresser contains all their play and everyday clothes. Each girl has two drawers. One drawer that has their shirts and another that has their shorts or pants.
We have a hamper in their room. Yet everyday this is what their room looks like:
| This is just 24 hours |
When I have them go clean their room, they put ALL clothes (clean or dirty) into their hamper despite my constant teaching or saying not to. If they do put clean clothes back this is what their drawers become:
| tops and bottoms together in same drawer |
As you can imagine I don't have the time or energy to constantly be re-organizing their drawers to this:
So what do you think? or what do you do?
How do I teach my girls to be responsible with their clothes and room? Is this something I should be worrying about? Have you found an easier way? I'd love to hear your responses and ideas....especially if you have a better way to organize.
I know that a few of you have said that you have commented. I have no clue why they aren't showing your comments. I'm trying to see if it shows mine. So sorry! Still love to hear your suggestions or thoughts
